Captain Robert Lockhart

The Office of Professional Standards Division is commanded by Captain Robert Lockhart.  Capt. Lockhart also oversees the Detective Division, School Resource, Records Division and Code Enforcement.Capt. Lockhart has been with the Sebastian Police Department since October 1989 working in various areas of our force including the Detective Bureau, Field Training, Road Patrol Sergeant,  and has commanded the Road Patrol Division.  Capt. Lockhart is also the Systems Administrator for the recordkeeping and computer aided dispatch systems. Prior to working with the Sebastian Police Department, Capt. Lockhart worked for the Hollywood FL Police Department for 7 years, where he worked in Road Patrol, was a School Resource Officer, and was a Detective in the Juvenile Unit. 

The Office of Professional Standards encompasses Internal Affairs, Personnel and Training, Recruiting, Community Oriented Policing, Volunteers, and Staff Inspections.

As Commander of the Internal Affairs Divsion, Capt. Lockhart is responsible for safeguarding the integrity of our agency.  Capt. Lockhart investigates citizen's complaints against officers thoroughly, efficiently, fairly, and in an impartial manner.
