COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING

     This program is designed to work with the Community and increase the quality of life of our residents. Capt. Robert Lockhart oversees the  Community Police Specialist, Officer Steve Marcinik.  Officer Marcinik conducts bicycle programs within the City, attends community meetings, works with youth groups, and assists with other government agencies.

     Perhaps you are familiar with some of the programs initiated by the Community Oriented Policing Unit, such as, Cell phones for Safe Space, Child Fingerprinting, Elderly Reassurance Program, DCF Adult Services, Safe Senior Program, Child Car Seat Program, and the Child Bicycle Helmet Program
