911 Communications

   The Communications Section operates around the clock, every day of the year and is staffed with full time Communications Technicians.  Communications is the direct line of contact for anyone requesting any type of police service.  Communication Technicians take calls for service from the public and other law enforcement agencies and dispatch the appropriate police personnel and equipment to handle the incidents and situations reported.  Dispatchers also coordinate radio traffic between police units and serve as the officers "life line" in times of danger and emergency. They are trained to gather information from the caller in times of emergencies and are skilled with the ability to keep the situation under control while dispatching the information. At the same time always keeping our officers' safety as their priority.
