RUOK

ARE YOU OK? (RUOK?) is a computer generated phone call to you at your residence on the days and times of your choice. You decide when you would like the computer to call you. At the prescribed time, you will receive a friendly message from us asking if you are ok. All you have to do is arrange your daily routine to be sure you are close to your phone at the time of the scheduled call, and answer the phone call. If your phone line is budy, or if there is no answer, the system will call back three more times. If there is still no answer, an ALERT will flash on the RUOK computer and a Sebastian Police Officer will be dispatched to your residence to check on you.

If you will be away from home please let us know. The system can be programmed to stop calls for that period of time.

Please remember ....THE RUOK PROGRAM IS NOT AN EMERGENCY CALL SYSTEM....In case of an emergency, for a rapid response DIAL 911.

There are three ways to complete the application and agreement. You may fill it out on line, print it out and bring it to the Sebastian Police Department, you can stop by our station at 1201 Main Street and request an application, or contact Officer Steve Marcinik at (772) 589-5233 extension 8576 and request an application. Which ever way you choose, you will feel more confident knowing we're here for you.
