RadKids is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to providing proven effective life-saving skills to children by teaching them how to Resist Aggression Defensively.”

Since its inception in 1998, radKIDS has reached thousands of children across North America and has documented more than 150 successes in the prevention of violence and harm to children.

Children as young as 5 years old have escaped the horrible realities of abduction, bullying, child abuse, sexual assault, and manipulation. In all these incidents the children were able to combine the tools they acquired in radKID classes with their own personal abilities and strengths to escape their attackers and return safely to their loved ones. The program’s comprehensive Personal Empowerment Safety Education curriculum, designed for children 5-11 years old and their parents, is based on accelerated learning theory and teaches realistic physical resistance options to escape violence. Through radKIDS training, children become empowered and learn to replace the fear, confusion, and panic of dangerous situations with confidence, personal safety skills and self-esteem. In other words, they have a plan! A radKIDS education makes them strong radKIDS is a nationally recognized program featured on “America’s Most Wanted”, “The TODAY Show” and “Good Morning America”. What is taught you ask?

Home safety, School and Vehicle Safety. Out and About Safety, realistic Defense against Abduction,  Good, Bad and Uncomfortable Touch.

Children are targeted as victims because they are more vulnerable than adults, more trusting and easier to lure into dangerous situations.

There are two different age groups: 5-7 and 8-12 year olds.

The classes are conducted at the school at the conclusion of the day the radkids students report to a designated room for training.  5-7 year old classes last for 1 ½ hours from 4:00-5:30 and the 8-12 classes last 2 hours from 4-6 pm. Students are to be picked up promptly at 6pm.
